What is momme?
Momme (mm) is a traditional Japanese unit for measuring silk density. 1 momme equals 4.34 g/m² of fabric. Silk with a weight of 19-25 momme is considered high quality and thickness, perfect for pillowcases, turbans, and silk bonnets.
